This is an opportunity to develop your career and grow your skills in a high intensity, team-based environment and become a part of BAE Systems, a leading company in Aerospace and Defense.As an Assistant Facility Security Officer, you will work with the FSO, all levels of leadership, and both internal and external customers to support a variety of interesting and dynamic programs. This role provides onsite support for the site's collateral security program. The candidate must exercise discretion and independent judgement in performing the following tasks:Interpret and enforce government and internal company policies as well as provide direction and guidance to employees.Develop and implement security plans and procedures utilizing the new 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM) as well as any other specific programmatic instruction manualsFully understand and implement program security requirementsResponsible for reviewing, drafting, and ensuring compliance for all collateral DD254sAssist with international requirements to include government to government shipments, foreign visitor requirements, and Export Control complianceAs a backup Incident Commander, support as necessary during emergenciesAssist with facility construction and continued accreditation requirementsProvide security guidance to company personnelConduct security briefings as necessaryConduct investigations and interviews of non?compliance matters and issues relating to security violationsParticipate as a team member in the local Crisis Management Team, Site Leadership Team, Insider Threat Local Counsel, and Safety Committee)Completes appropriate documentation according to company and government directivesAssist with security reviews to include Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) visits, formal self-inspections, and Staff Assistance Visits (internal audits)Additional duties/tasks as requiredBecause of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.Required Education, Experience, & Skills:4 or more years of relevant work experience to the position and requirements with a minimum of a high school diploma.Secret Clearance is required with ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.Demonstrated knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOMAbility to multitask and prioritize tasksAbility to exercise discretion and independent judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and acquire new skills, and adapt seamlessly to an ever-changing security environmentCustomer focused, excellent communicator (written and verbal), and ability to work with limited supervisionAbility to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelors DegreeActive Top Secret ClearancePrevious experience with DISS, NISS, and SIMSFacility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities Certificate (via CDSE)Insider Threat Program for Industry Curriculum, INT33.CU provided by the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) or equivalent training.Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $82779 - $140723 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
