We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Facility Maintenance Mechanic will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager with the daily upkeep of the facility's equipment. This position has a special emphasis on technology, computerized systems, safety equipment, kitchen equipment, and sporting equipment.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Repairs all maintenance equipment according to the specifications and highest professional standards particular to each itemInspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects Works with sharpening blades reels and bed-knifes, disassembles motors and performs general overhauling, grinds valves, repairs transmissions, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, generators, universal joints, hydraulic systems, high pressured pumps and valves, install breaks, batteries, tires, wiring and glass and welding workChecks machines on a daily basis to ensure each machine is ready to go the next dayAssists in creating, implementing, and overseeing safety rules for equipment operators and general team membersImplements preventive maintenance programs and care for all equipment and maintain accurate recordsNotifies Facility Manager of any equipment misuseKeeps accurate inventory of all parts and other valuable items of equipment in the maintenance buildingMaintains cleanliness of the maintenance buildingAll additional duties assigned by managementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidaysExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentMust have experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipmentGeneral knowledge of maintenance, janitorial & landscapingMust be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certifications within a specific time periodMust be detail-oriented Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow Team MembersMust work well with othersMust take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facilityCommitted to the safety and well-being of othersPossess or ability to obtain a valid Driver's LicenseWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to lift large amounts of weight, sometimes as much as 50 poundsAbility to work in all weather conditionsWork with paint, cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol formsAbility to paint, clean equipment, and operate motorized equipment as neededWork in conditions that will create dirt and dust
