Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a FL or compact license and at least one year of travel nursing experience.

Job Details

• Work in a high-acuity, 30-bed Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit,
• Care for complex patients including post open heart, post TAVR, and post pacemaker cases,
• Manage drip titrations, chest tubes, and BiPAP therapy,
• 13-week contract with 36-48 hour work weeks acceptable,
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15,
• Every other weekend required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (FL or Compact) required,
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required,
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required,
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required,
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start,
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start,
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,
• Two professional references required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to complex cardiac and respiratory patients in a fast-paced stepdown environment,
• Local candidates accepted, though may qualify for a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility,
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required,
