Agency Office of the State Auditor Position Assistant State Audit Supervisor (NS) Description of Work This position is designated as Exempt Policy-Making under G.S. 126-5(c)(3) and is considered an at‑will appointment. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and reviewing Medicaid audits and examinations. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise the entire Medicaid audit process Prepare and review Medicaid audit findings and reports Manage assigned staff, ensuring compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures Perform administrative duties and special projects as required Provide professional development for yourself and the Medicaid audit staff Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of GAGAS; federal and state Medicaid laws and regulations; and Medicaid program operations Ability to plan, assign, and monitor work Ability to coach and mentor staff Salary Range: $81,620 – $159,158 Minimum Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree with 12 semester hours in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and 5 years of experience in auditing/accounting, one of which must have been functioning as an audit lead or supervisor.
