How to be Successful in the Role:

To succeed in this role you must have experience working with diverse populations and the knowledge and ability to lead and innovate programs. Most importantly you must be client-focused and continuously work to build and maintain strong partnerships.

A commitment to professionalism patience and clear communication is a must and requires a high level of understanding regarding clients living in the crisis of poverty. We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment has great customer service skills is comfortable using technology to perform work duties has good administrative experience attention to detail and the ability to understand and apply eligibility criteria based on established rules.

Your Future in this Role:

Your work will directly impact your local community and it offers a great foundation for future positions within the Human Services Department and Pierce County.

Core Daily Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensures client requests for assistance involving a shut off notice are completed on a daily basis.
• Monitor energy assistance appointments on a weekly basis to ensure funding is not under or overspent.
• Reconciles funding for energy programs reviewing people served files processed and funding available.
• Develop and maintain specialized reports to track funding available and/or fee for service status.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and statistics necessary for program reports and audits required by funding sources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Additional education or experience may substitute for the recruiting requirements.

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in social services human services psychology counseling and
• One or more years of related experience preferred.
• Positions in specific program areas may require program-related experience education and/or training.
