Lab Sanitation Assistant

Large University is looking for someone with a great attitude, that may have worked as a Veterinary Technician or even in a Veterinary office to provide support services for the research faculty and staff in the Sanitation Unit within the Department of the Animal Resources Center. Duties will include processing animal cages using equipment in the Sanitation unit on either the clean or dirty side and/or specific washing center. Fill clean cages with measured amount of animal food and bedding. Process equipment through rack washer and autoclave.

Responsibilities:
Empty animal cages and process equipment on either clean or dirty side and/or specific washing center. Detect and report malfunctioning and/or defective equipment
Fill clean cages with measured amount of animal food and bedding
Process equipment through rack washer and autoclave
Fill water bottles
Sanitize floors and walls
Launder personal protection clothing
Provide clean supplies and equipment to research faculty and staff using animal facilities
