Engineering Technician

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Tech for one of our large energy companies to support capital projects across multiple power generation stations in the Carolinas. This role focuses on providing hands‑on technical support for electrical and control systems in operating plants. Responsibilities Support capital projects at power plants (execution through commissioning) Work closely with project teams and plant personnel to: Review and implement electrical + controls system changes Participate in field inspections, testing, and commissioning Troubleshoot control systems, PLCs, and DCS platforms Act as a technical liaison between plants, engineers, and vendors Assist with design reviews and engineering changes Review drawings and Process + Instrumentation Diagrams Document findings and create technical reports and recommendations Location & Schedule Hybrid: 3+ days onsite (Monday-Thursday) Must live within commuting distance of: Mount Holly, NC Charlotte, NC Travel: Primarily day travel to sites (mileage reimbursed) Must Haves 0-4+ years of experience OR engineering technology degree 3-12+ years of relevant experience Plusses Control systems/DCS platforms PLCs and automation systems Electrical systems in industrial environments #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
