Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide expert care in a high-acuity cardiac intensive care environment. The role involves managing critically ill patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced cardiac and critical care to patients in the CVICU setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret telemetry, and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, maintaining strict protocol adherence.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and modify care plans.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a CVICU or cardiac ICU.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and critical care procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to float to other units within the Prisma Health system as needed.
