Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier program, project and cost management offering in markets around the world.Job DescriptionTurner & Townsendare seeking an experiencedDirector of Cost Managementto leadand develop a team ofCost Managers andthe delivery of cost management services for alarge-scaleconstructionproject.This individual willbe responsible forensuring service excellence in terms of servicedelivery, continuedgrowth ofourcost management serviceofferingandclientengagement.The successful candidate will be a driven leader with great interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:Strong leadership skills, experience leading a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.Lead communications with the client and oversight of cost management team services.Leadresearch related to construction market conditions, including analysis of official published data.Produce thought leadership reportsprovidingvaluable insights to theconstructionmarketLead thestrategic and operational management of Cost Management Services in a variety of sectors, including resource planning and management,financialmanagement,businessgeneration and trainingand development.Set a clear strategy and ambition with the team in line withour Business PlanGrow and develop exceptional people, promoting a culture of learning,respectand inclusivity.Knowledge management – Ensure that key information andlearninggenerated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.Process improvement – Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.Quality Control – Ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.Develop priority plans including risk mitigation through internal tools, make performance measurements via Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and appraisal documents, management controls and critical success factors based on companygoalsUndertake internal BMS audits, and coordinate and represent the office for external audits undertaken by the external certification authority.Develop a detailed understanding of the market, acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunitywith existing and newclientsIdentifyand act upon cross-selling opportunities.Participate in meetings withSenior leadership,Directors and staff and prepare and deliverpresentationsFinancial Management–Using internalsoftware, track ongoing revenue,margin levelsand monthly fees andresourcerequirementsfor eachcostcommission. Preparation ofproposals/RFP responses for new clients/projects.Attendrelevant networkingeventsand other promotional opportunities with directors.Support the training and mentorship of current staff and promotean upwardcareer trajectory.Proactivelypartnerwithtalent acquisition teamtoattract the best talent,actively manage resourcerequirementsand proactively plan forfuturestaffing needs.Be a role model that drives a one business culture that achieves great outcomes by striking the right balance for our people, clients, stakeholders, and society. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying,engineeringor field related to construction.Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.15+years of relevant cost management or quantity surveying experience.2+years managinghigh performing cost managementteamsin a consulting environment. Prior people management experience.Proventrack recordofmanagingsuccessful cost management service delivery for clients.ExceptionalBusiness development acumen and ambition to drive business growth.Major construction sectorexperienceworking with high caliber clientsincommercial real estate, data center, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, natural resources, etc.Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written,organizational,and communication skills.Additional Information*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs.The base salary range for this role is $185K-$210K USD. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
