Role Description

IMG Jewelers is seeking personable, motivated, and service-focused Luxury Jewelry Consultants for both full-time and part-time, on-site positions at our Lyndhurst showroom.

In this role, you will welcome clients, learn about their needs, and provide knowledgeable guidance on fine jewelry, diamonds, custom pieces, rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, and meaningful gifts. You will help clients celebrate milestones and special occasions while developing lasting relationships built on trust.

Daily responsibilities include presenting merchandise, explaining product features and benefits, processing sales transactions, assisting with special orders, and accurately taking in jewelry for repairs. You will also help maintain beautiful displays, support inventory procedures, follow up with clients, and contribute to a polished and professional showroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and create a warm, attentive, and professional luxury experience

• Listen carefully to each client's needs, preferences, occasion, and budget

• Guide clients through selections of things from; fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, bridal pieces, custom designs and repairs.

• Present merchandise and explain its craftsmanship, materials, features, benefits, care, and lasting value.

• Accurately accept and document jewelry repairs, including the condition of each item and the client's requested service

• Assist with custom-design inquiries, special orders, and product sourcing working closely with our in house gemologist.

• Process sales transactions accurately and handle valuable merchandise responsibly.

• Maintain organized customer, sales, repair, and special-order records.

• Build long-term client relationships through personalized service and thoughtful follow-up.

• Support inventory checks and loss-prevention procedures.

• Keep showcases and displays clean, secure, organized, and visually appealing.

• Contribute to reaching store goals.

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and professional store environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and active-listening skills.

• Strong relationship-building and retail sales skills combined with product knowledge.

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

• Integrity and discretion when handling valuable merchandise, customer information, and payment details. Ensuring store security protocol is followed.

• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and dependable work ethic.

• Ability and willingness to learn about diamonds, gemstones, metals, watches, custom jewelry, and repair services.

• Previous experience in jewelry, luxury retail, fashion, hospitality, or consultative sales is preferred but not required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Additional education or training in sales, merchandising, diamonds, watches, or gemology is a plus.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
