Overview Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, a leading pediatric provider, is offering a Respiratory Care Practitioner Residency program with two annual start dates. The program is designed to provide a hands‑on learning experience for new graduate respiratory care practitioners, guiding them under the direct supervision of licensed professionals. Program Details Upcoming Start Date: February2027 Program focuses on neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patient care. Graduates will practice within the pediatric care team, delivering top‑quality and compassionate respiratory care services. Responsibilities Provide respiratory care services for neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients. Practice under the direct supervision of an experienced and licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner. Participate in clinical rounds and interdisciplinary team discussions. Qualifications Graduate from a Center on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited program with at least an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care. Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Written application submitted to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation for licensure, holding a current Illinois license or a temporary license. Pass the NBRC respiratory care licensure examination within 90 days of hire. Obtain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 180 days of hire. Earn PALS/NPR/ACLS certifications within the first year of hire. Benefits Competitive hourly pay range: $37.00 – $60.50 Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
