Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Pasadena, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, evenings\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Evenings, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Aug 31, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TX or compact RN licensure and extensive trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis experience.Details\n \n 30-bed Emergency Department in a hospital setting\n Staffed with CNC, RNs, PCT/EMT, and unit secretary support based on volume forecast\n Patient ratios of 1-5 depending on acuity\n Uses advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines\n EMR is Meditech, transitioning to Expanse in August 2026\n Performs procedures such as thoracotomy, arterial lines, and MTP\n 2p-2a shift schedule\n Alternate weekend work required\n Floating to two free-standing ED locations if needed\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required\n Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with TIC\n NRP and STABLE certifications are a plus\n Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis required\n Advanced critical thinking skills required\n Adult and pediatric ED experience preferred\n No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months\n US SSN and DOB required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Deliver emergency care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases\n Team includes CNC leadership, RNs, PCT/EMTs, and unit secretaries\n Must wear Royal Blue scrubs per facility dress code policy\n Best fit candidates are flexible, accountable, responsible, and strong team players\n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility with no exceptions for local candidates\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-741656.
