Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Midland. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between patients, healthcare providers, and support services, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care and optimal healthcare delivery.

• Patient Care Coordination & Front Desk Operations:
  • Coordinate patient care activities and manage patient flow throughout the healthcare system.
  • Schedule and track patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Coordinate with various employees to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
• Clinical & PT Technician Support:
  • Assist physical therapy staff with patient setup, preparing treatment areas, and guiding patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and modalities.
  • Support patient mobility, transitions, and safety during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the physical therapy gym, equipment, and treatment rooms.
  • Monitor and update patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Implement and maintain patient care protocols and procedures.
• Communication & Documentation:
  • Facilitate clear, compassionate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Track and follow up on test results, therapy progress notes, and medical referrals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and healthcare management software
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in medical office administration
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
