This position is in-office Some of these opportunities may be up to 40 hours per week for up to 5 months of employment, while others may provide part-time coverage for less than 70 hours per month Shifts vary between 6:45 am and 10 pm, Monday to Sunday, and during the holidays These temporary positions are not eligible for County benefits Why It's a Great Opportunity: We are looking for a self-motivated and team player Front Desk staff to join our team at Sprinker Recreation Center. You will provide a high level of customer service to the public in an energetic and fast-paced environment. Learn more about the Pierce County Parks and Recreation Department Core Daily Responsibilities: Greeting customers and providing assistance via email, phone, and in person Assisting with program registrations Park Shelter and Field Rentals Operate point of sale system and accurately process payments Multi-line phones Aiding in the security of the facility Work with little or no supervision in a self-motivated manner Minimum 18 years of age High School diploma or GED Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Preferred Qualifications: Previous cash handling experience is highly desired Customer service-related work Knowledge of Microsoft products As a condition of employment, the applicant will need to authorize and complete a background check.
