Logistics Team Leader - 3rd Shift

Position DescriptionSupport the Senior Team Leader in supervising a team of 12-15 members ensuring they are complying with set procedures and standards of position while performing normal duties and meeting targets.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAid the Senior Team Leader with training of new team members on established procedures and verifying knowledge and performance of standardized workAssist the Senior Team Leader on coordinating with the production team to ensure that all items needed for shipment are prepared and ready to shipExecutes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventoryExpediting high priority requisitionsExamines items to be moved, determine approximate weights, configurations and characteristics to determine the type and method of material handling/delivery required in a safe and efficient mannerEnsuring compliance with import and export regulationsAccess various databases and input data with a high level of accuracyComplies with safety and corporate guidelinesUphold 5S within the departmentCommunicates all issues within the department to the Senior Team LeadStrictly enforces company policies and proceduresAssists and supports team members in logistics processes as neededAssists in decision making and solving conflicts when the Senior Team Leader is not availableOther duties as assignedJob QualificationsExperienceMinimum of 1 years Logistics experience requiredLeadership experience preferredDemonstrated knowledge of processes, procedures, and Standardized WorkSkills and AbilitiesStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and OutlookStrong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication and organization skillsConflict resolution and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contactsSolid decision making skillsOtherHigh School Diploma/ GED or relevant experience requiredEnglish required
