What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care utilizing the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and scope of practice.
• Assess patient learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise licensed and ancillary staff.
• Utilize clinical data to evaluate patient outcomes and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies.
• Perform duties related to patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care within the medical/surgical unit.

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Certification in a clinical specialty area
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and software
