Speech-Language Pathologist - Rehabilitation Schedule Shift details and weekend coverage are not specified. Assignment Details No specific contract length or guaranteed hours per week are provided. Requirements
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
- Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
- Certifications: BLS; CCC-SLP required. FEES and MBSImP preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting is preferred.
- Prior experience with long-term acute care (LTAC) is preferred.
- Conducting dysphagia assessments and providing treatment including bedside swallow evaluations and modified barium swallow studies.
- Providing tracheostomy and ventilator care, as well as using Passy-Muir valves.
- Working with the neuro/rehabilitation population, including patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.
- Utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods and communication boards.
- Performing cognitive-communication assessments.
- Participating in group therapy and discharge planning, including educating patients and families.
