Registered Nurse - Day Shift (3x12 hours) Job Description Embrace the Select Medical Way and Core Values as a Registered Nurse committed to delivering superior quality care. Your role will focus on patient and employee safety, while ensuring a positive and resourceful environment. This position requires an emphasis on safety principles and active participation in patient rehabilitation programs. Responsibilities Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, creating an individualized plan of care. Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses and collaborate with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct care utilizing the nursing process. Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care. Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel. Contribute positively to unit operations and team building activities. Assume charge responsibility as requested following orientation. Engage in ongoing professional development and prioritize effective use of time and resources. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification required prior to first shift. ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY). Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred, with ICU/Critical Care experience highly desired.
