Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join a Critical Access Hospital in Morristown, Vermont. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive, age-specific direct patient care across various acuities, including primary responsibility within the Emergency Department, within a close-knit community hospital setting.

The successful candidate will be integral to delivering high-quality nursing care, utilizing the full scope of the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. This position requires a proactive approach to patient management, adherence to established standards of care, and a commitment to patient safety and outcomes. The RN will also assume leadership responsibilities, including the delegation of work to other levels of employees, ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific patient care in accordance with the nursing process and established standards of patient care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere strictly to Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Assume leadership responsibilities, including the effective delegation of work to other levels of employees.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.
