Job Title: Production Packer Job Description

This role supports a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing operation in Greenfield by unpacking, inspecting, and repacking automotive parts on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. You use RF scanners to track orders, maintain accurate inventory, and keep your work area organized and clean while standing for the duration of your shift.

• Unpack parts weighing up to 25 pounds in a fast-paced production environment.
• Use RF scanners to accurately track orders and update inventory records.
• Re-pack products into totes and other packaging as required for production and shipping.
• Perform thorough visual inspections of parts to ensure quality and identify defects.
• Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures precisely.
• Stand for the entirety of the shift while performing packing and material handling tasks.
• Label and organize products, totes, and materials for efficient workflow.
• Load and unload materials and products as needed to support production and assembly operations.
• Handle general labor tasks related to packaging, production, assembly, and inventory support.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station and surrounding area throughout the shift.

• Experience with packaging and packing tasks in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately.
• Experience using RF scanners for order tracking and inventory management.
• Basic material handling skills, including loading and unloading products up to 25 pounds.
• Attention to detail for visual inspection of parts and labeling.
• Comfort working in general labor roles such as assembly, production, and inventory support.

• Prior experience in packaging and inspection roles.
• Familiarity with automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with inventory processes and order tracking.
• Ability to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as scheduled, including one weekend day depending on department.
• Strong reliability and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.

The role is based in a climate-controlled, well-lit manufacturing facility that produces automotive parts. The department is known for being exceptionally clean and organized compared to typical automotive environments. Work is performed on straight 8-hour shifts with one weekend day required, with available shifts including 1st (6:00 AM–2:00 PM), 2nd (2:00 PM–10:00 PM), and 3rd (10:00 PM–6:00 AM). Employees stand for the full shift while performing packing, inspection, and material handling tasks in a modern production setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, IN.

The pay range for this position is $40456.00 - $44616.00/yr.
