Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to implement accommodations and modifications
• Effective collaboration skills for working with general education staff, families, and related service providers
• Strong classroom management abilities, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing, and positive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

• Develop, plan, and deliver instruction tailored to the needs of students with diverse abilities
• Write and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and provide regular updates to families and team members
• Utilize research-based strategies and interventions to promote academic, behavioral, emotional, and social growth
• Collaborate with educational teams to ensure student goals are being met within self-contained or inclusion settings
• Maintain accurate records, attend required meetings, and participate in professional development opportunities
• Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment rooted in respect and understanding
