Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in the surgical setting, encompassing pre-operative, inter-operative, and post-operative phases of care.

Shift Details

• Shift: 8 Hour Days, Monday to Friday
• Call: Intermittent call until 6 PM weekdays; Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM for emergencies only
• Guarantee: 36 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with possibility to extend to 26 weeks

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• No scheduled weekend hours; only emergency call as needed
• No scheduled hours on most major holidays, but emergency on-call may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Administer conscious sedation as required, with preference for candidates with experience in this area
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or multistate RN license
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting

Additional Requirements

• Uniform: Light Blue Scrubs
• Vaccination: Proof of Hepatitis B series or positive titer, MMR series or positive titer, Varicella series or proof of immunity, Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years, annual Flu vaccination (from October 1 to April 1), and COVID-19 vaccination if applicable
• TB Testing: Two TB skin tests, or one Quantiferon Gold, or one chest x-ray within the last 12 months
