Engineers in this team come with distinguished expertise in various areas, such as - query execution, query optimization, high performance computing, computer architecture, compilers, distributed systems and data lake technologies. We are a fun-loving team, that is passionate about ideating, designing and delivering query processing and overall database architecture towards delivering industry leading price/performance.Basic Qualifications:5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamExperience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systemsProficiency in at least one modern programming language like C++, Java, or Rust building and operating mission-critical, highly available systemsPreferred Qualifications:5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceMaster's degree in computer science or equivalentExperience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience demonstrating software engineering skills in a previous intership, work experience, coding competitions, or publicationsExperience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems architectureExperience performing live system and core analysis using GDBAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
