Qualifications

• State License Willing to obtain is allowed.
• Certifications BLS (AHA). Willing to obtain allowed for BLS (AHA).
• Certifications NRP (AHA)
• Certifications NBRC (RRT) or NBRC (CRT)
• Specialty Experience 1+ years of experience in NICU in last 3 years.
• Travel Experience 13 weeks of travel experience.
• EMR Cerner
• Skills Assessment NIR skills assessment with 2.7+ score.
• Skills Assessment AIC skills assessment with 2.7+ score.
• Additional Confirmations I have not requested more than two holidays off during my assignment.
• Additional Confirmations I am aware that blocked scheduling requests are not accommodated by MedStar.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Tracheostomy/suctioning, Oral/nasal Suctioning, T-piece, Trach collar, and Tracheostomy care/management is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with Pulmonary Hygiene and Sputum specimen collection is required.
• Additional Confirmations Comfortable drawing and analyzing ABGs, including umbilical blood gases, is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, Servo U ventilators, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience administering Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, and Xopenex is required.
• Additional Confirmations Ability to assist in high risk delivery is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler, Nebulizer, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, and CPAP is required.
• Flu Vaccine (Current Season) Must be for the current flu season.
• Travel Contract Must travel at least 60.0 miles to receive a travel stipend. Local candidates are eligible, but the pay package may adjust the rate by a few dollars per hour, will not contain a travel stipend, and will be entirely taxable.
• Requested Time Off Up to 7 days of time off can be requested.
