Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Friday, Saturday, and Sunday | No Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting
• Support surgical procedures across neuro, orthopedic, transplant (kidney/liver), trauma, and vascular specialties
• Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
• Adhere to facility compliance standards, infection control protocols, and surgical best practices

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of acute care experience in the Operating Room within the last three years
• Strong hands-on experience in neuro, orthopedic, transplant (kidney/liver), trauma, and vascular surgical specialties
• Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; strict criteria apply for lethal rhythm identification)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity, Level I trauma or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with Magnet-designated facility standards and practices
• Demonstrated ability to float and adapt across multiple surgical service lines
