Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: CA RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of Neuro ICU experience Description: Locals accepted within 50 miles travel requirement. Locals are accepted at local rate. CA license and certifications must be in hand to submit. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 2 patients. Neuro experience is required. Epic charting experience is required. May float to Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department. Staffing and scheduling may vary. Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics. Daily census is typically between 18 to 22 patients. Unit houses 24 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary. Patient diagnoses include Level Two Trauma ICU, Neuro/Stroke ICU, and Post procedural/surgical Trauma patients. The team works efficiently in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround and patient throughput. Special equipment includes Massive Blood Transfusion, EVD management, ICP management, and cooling protocols. Charting system used is Epic. Candidates will need to provide a detailed work history for the last 7 years. Modules are required for completion during orientation. Candidates may be required to submit background information prior to hiring.
