About Us:
Melling Granite is a custom stone fabrication shop specializing in high-quality natural stone and engineered stone countertops, custom sinks, custom range hoods, and other specialty projects. We take pride in our craftsmanship, precision, and ability to bring complex designs to life.
Position Overview:
This position is based in Cedar City, UT. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the area to be considered.
We are seeking a skilled Stone Fabricator with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with both natural stone (granite, marble, quartzite, etc.) and engineered stone (quartz). This is not a polishing-only position - we are looking for a true fabricator who can handle all aspects of the job from start to finish.
Pay:
$30 - $40 an hour for this position, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings
- Cutting, shaping, and profiling stone to exact specifications
- Operating fabrication tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- Collaborating with our team to solve complex fabrication challenges
- Teaching polishers how to be fabricators
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on fabrication experience with natural and engineered stone
- Proficiency with Miters, keeping thing square, thinking outside the box
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Willingness to relocate to Cedar City, Utah (relocation assistance available for the right person)
