One day you might be filming mountain bike content, the next writing an email campaign, updating the website, helping set up an event, optimizing a webpage for search engines, or brainstorming our next big promotion. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative and organized, comfortable behind a camera and behind a computer, and excited to help tell the story of Bolton Valley. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Content Plan, create, and publish engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms. Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content that showcases the Bolton Valley experience throughout all four seasons. Write compelling copy for social media, email campaigns, website pages, blogs, and promotional materials. Assist in developing and executing seasonal marketing campaigns and promotions. Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and foster an engaged online community. Digital Marketing Build, schedule, and manage email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, design, testing, and audience segmentation. Update and maintain the Bolton Valley website through WordPress, ensuring content is accurate, current, and user-friendly. Improve website performance through basic SEO best practices, keyword research, and metadata optimization. Track and report on website, email, and social media performance using Google Analytics and platform insights. Assist with digital advertising campaigns and other marketing initiatives as needed. Events & Resort Support Capture photo and video content during events, races, concerts, and daily resort operations. Assist with planning, setup, promotion, and execution of resort events and activations. Ski, snowboard, and mountain bike regularly to create authentic, first-person content from across the resort. Work closely with other departments to promote resort operations, lodging, dining, lessons, events, and guest experiences. Team Collaboration Brainstorm creative marketing ideas and contribute to campaign planning. Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. Jump in wherever needed to support the marketing team and broader resort operations. Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, or a related field. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Experience with photography, videography, and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Canva, or similar. Portfolio required. Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content. Familiarity with WordPress or another content management system. Experience with email marketing platforms such as Ascent360 or similar. Basic understanding of SEO principles and Google Analytics. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small team. Highly organized with excellent time management and communication skills. Comfortable skiing/snowboarding, and mountain biking at an intermediate level or above. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events. Passion for outdoor recreation and the Bolton Valley brand. Customer Service Expectations Marketing is often the first interaction guests have with Bolton Valley. Whether responding to guest inquiries online, assisting at events, or collaborating with other departments, employees are expected to represent the resort with professionalism, enthusiasm, and exceptional customer service. Physical & Work Environment This position combines office work with time spent throughout the resort capturing content, supporting events, and experiencing Bolton Valley firsthand. Responsibilities include prolonged computer work, lifting marketing materials and equipment, and skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
