About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk OB and a culturally diverse patient population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as required
• Support postpartum patients as a preferred area of practice
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential float to sister facilities nearby
• Maintain an average daily census of 15-20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and other relevant certifications as required for the specialty
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals may be considered under separate terms)
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days total for the assignment
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Background must be clear; facility does not accept background hits

• Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB populations
• Experience circulating in cesarean section procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience welcome; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
