Electronic Technician Trainee

Job Title: Electronic Technician Trainee Location: Katy, TX Employment Type: Contract About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Electronic Technician Trainee to join our client's team in the industrial sector. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring on-time delivery of equipment, improving maintenance efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, testing, and repair of electronic and electromechanical equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.
- Assemble and build components such as bearing packs.
- Conduct testing and basic programming tasks.
- Support failure investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain production targets and support equipment turnaround efficiency.
- Minimum: 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent education (2-year technical degree in electronics technology) / military maintenance background.
- Ability to use multimeters, basic hand tools, oscilloscopes, and measuring devices.
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate business systems.
- Basic understanding of electronics and some mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with rotary steerable or similar oilfield equipment.
- Soldering experience (ISO certifications a plus but not required).
