Energy Regulatory, Junior Associate

Position Overview The Washington office seeks a junior associate with approximately two to four years of experience to join our dynamic Energy Regulatory practice, focusing on Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear work. The practice represents clients in transactions, projects, and regulatory matters involving nuclear, gas, oil, LNG, electric, and renewable energy, working with a range of government agencies including FERC, NRC, and DOE. Responsibilities As a junior associate you will: Perform legal research and drafting for NRC and DOE nuclear matters, including advanced reactor licensing, international nuclear projects, renewables, funding opportunities, and nuclear export controls. Assist in preparing arguments and documents for proceedings before agencies such as FERC and NRC. Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross‑practice teams to support business, law, and policy objectives on cutting‑edge matters. Qualifications Law degree from an ABA‑accredited law school. Member of the Bar in the United States. Approximately two to four years of experience, preferably with NRC or DOE nuclear work. Strong analytical, research, and drafting skills. Salary & Benefits Base salary range: $235,000 to $310,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Additional compensation may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses.
