RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of a Search Consultant include, but are not limited to:  

• Serve as the primary consultant and trusted advisor for executive search engagements, partnering with business owners and leadership teams from kickoff through successful placement while continuing to support their long-term hiring success.
• Develop Position Profiles that clearly define the role, organizational culture, success factors, and ideal candidate profile.
• Manage multiple executive search engagements simultaneously, ensuring timelines are met through consistent communication, proactive follow-up, and thoughtful accountability.
• Source, interview, assess, and evaluate executive candidates using VisionSpark's structured interview process and proprietary assessment methodology.
• Analyze interview findings, assessment results, and candidate qualifications to develop objective, evidence-based hiring recommendations.
• Prepare and present comprehensive candidate reports, hiring recommendations, and strategic guidance to executive leadership teams.
• Maintain accurate search documentation, candidate records, project timelines, and client communications to ensure organized, efficient execution of multiple concurrent searches.
• Consult with clients throughout the hiring process, providing recommendations on interview strategy, candidate evaluation, selection, and hiring decisions.
• Build lasting relationships with clients and candidates through responsive, professional, and relationship-driven communication.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve the client experience, search process, and overall quality of service.

Success Milestones

• 30 Days: Complete VisionSpark's training program and become proficient in our search methodology, assessments, and client experience.
• 60 Days: Independently manage your own executive search engagements while confidently guiding clients and candidates through VisionSpark's proven process.
• 1 Year: Serve as a trusted advisor, building lasting client relationships while consistently delivering exceptional hiring outcomes.

** This is a full time, in-person position based in Worthington, Ohio. **

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 5+ years working in a business environment as an individual contributor
• Experience working directly with business owners, executives, or senior leaders
• Experience in a client-facing, consulting, account management, customer success, project management, recruiting, or similar professional role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other cloud-based business applications

Preferred

• Experience working with small to medium-sized businesses (approximately 20–500 employees)
• Experience in executive search, recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, consulting, or professional services
• Experience interviewing, evaluating, or selecting candidates, employees, or professionals
• Experience presenting recommendations or findings to clients or executive leadership
• Bachelor's degree

Desired

• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, or stakeholder discussions
• Experience writing client-facing reports, proposals, or business documentation
• Experience collaborating with sales or business development teams during client engagements
• Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, or project management software

Salary: 55k-65k with opportunity for incentive earnings (first-year total compensation of 80k+)
