Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerMarquette, Michigan, United StatesAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13$2,506.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cardiac PCU/Stepdown RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring MI licensure and PCU/stepdown or cardiac experience.Details225-bed specialty care hospital with a Trauma Level 2 designationCardiac IMCU/Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with 36 bedsPatient population includes cardiac and stepdown/PCU level of care with telemetry monitoringCommon diagnoses include chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre and post open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular issues, and CHFPatient ratios are 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown patientsUses telemetry monitoring equipmentCerner EHR system used12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AMEvery other weekend requiredFloating requiredCall required only during low census periods13-week assignmentRequirementsActive MI RN license requiredCurrent certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience requiredMinimum 2+ years of overall RN experience requiredAssociate degree in nursing requiredExperience with cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac drips requiredExperience with PCU/stepdown patient populations and low-level ICU skills preferredActive Nursys licensure verification required at time of considerationSocial security number and date of birth required for considerationAdditional InformationProvide care to cardiac and stepdown telemetry patients including chest tube management and cardiac drip administrationStrong teamwork skills required for this fast-paced unitScrub color must be blue or navy with no blue jeans permittedCandidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rateLocal candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a local rateCandidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligibleCandidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
