Network Technician

*Description*
Organizes and directs network installations on site surveys. Assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements. Designs and optimizes network topologies. Directs and leads preparation of engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages. Develops installation schedules. Mobilizes network installation team. Directs and leads preparation of drawings documenting configuration changes at each site. Prepares site installation and test reports. Coordinates post installation operations and maintenance support.
*Additional Skills & Qualifications*
In addition to standard installer skillsets, candidates should possess the following:
* Cable installation and termination (fiber and copper)
* Rack and stack of network equipment
* Basic troubleshooting and testing of network connections
* Ability to read and follow network diagrams and installation plans
* Familiarity with structured cabling standards and labeling
Candidates with networking certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, Aruba, Versa) will be preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Meade, MD.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
