The Role
- Full-time, hospital-based working manager position providing both clinical care and medical leadership
- Lead, develop, and support associate veterinarians across assigned local hospitals to ensure consistent, high-quality medicine
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that emphasizes preventive care and outstanding client service
- Coach and mentor new and early-career doctors; oversee onboarding and skills development in medicine, surgery, and dentistry
- Review medical records and clinical quality metrics; implement improvement plans where needed
- Partner with practice leadership on hospital goals, operations, and performance outcomes
- Support recruitment efforts and serve as a clinical ambassador to students and candidates
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including controlled substance stewardship and radiation safety
- Manage clinical equipment needs and maintenance requests in partnership with leadership
- Address client concerns related to clinical care and maintain high standards of communication and follow-up

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven clinical proficiency in general practice, including routine surgery and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire veterinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to preventive care, client education, and consistent medical standards
- Ability to travel locally between assigned hospitals as needed, with some weekend coverage
