Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery, Portland, Oregon. Start date 09/14/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay range: $2,329–$2,416. Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), 3x12s. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital offering obstetric services.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for obstetric patients according to the nursing process and established standards.
- Monitor labor progress and fetal status; administer medications as ordered; assist with delivery and postpartum care.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; delegate appropriately and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Collect relevant patient data, analyze assessments, and develop and implement care plans; evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers; provide education on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a safe, healing environment with attention to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; participate in continuous learning.

Requirements
- License: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (Oregon required for the assignment).
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; acute care/L&D experience preferred.
- Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required; CPR or BLS as applicable per policy.
- Abilities: Ability to work in a high-acuity obstetric unit; able to perform 12-hour shifts; eligible for a travel assignment starting on the stated date.
