3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Position: Maintenance Mechanic Schedule: 2nd or 3rd Shift + A LOT OF OVERTIME Location: Manufacturing Plant Environment

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our high-speed production machinery. This role is perfect for a well-rounded technician with mechanical skills and solid electrical troubleshooting experience.

Core Requirements:

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production plant.

• Mechanical skills repairing and servicing motors, pumps, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.

• Solid electrical troubleshooting skills, including 3-phase power, motor controls, relays, contactors, and sensors.

• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints to diagnose equipment faults.

• Experience repairing and maintaining packaging and production machinery (laminators, die-cutters, gluers, and conveyor systems are a major plus).

• Basic familiarity with PLCs (ability to look at PLC inputs/outputs to troubleshoot faults; advanced programming is not required).

• Experience documenting daily repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in a CMMS.

• Strict adherence to safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering stable hours, consistent weekly overtime, and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical issues on production machinery including laminators, die-cutters, gluers, conveyors, and strappers.

• Diagnose PLCs, motor drives, relays, contactors, sensors, encoders, and electrical/electronic circuits.

• Perform program modifications and troubleshooting on Allen-Bradley (Studio5000) and Siemens (TIA Portal) PLCs.

• Complete mechanical repairs on industrial motors, pumps, conveyors, motion systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

• Work with and without electrical schematics, utilizing testing instruments to identify missing feedback signals when drawings are unavailable.

• Record all daily maintenance repairs, breakdown logs, and preventive maintenance (PM) work orders into the CMMS.

• Maintain a safe, clean work area and strictly adhere to all plant safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

• Keep the engineering team informed of daily repairs, persistent machinery issues, and part needs.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
