Enjoy remote work flexibility with occasional client travel.Job DescriptionAccounting Supervisor OverviewThe Accounting Supervisor will oversee financial operations for regulated clients in the financial services industry, ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting.This remote role offers occasional travel to client sites, providing flexibility and dynamic work experiences.Collaborate with a well-established CPA firm known for its expertise in financial services accounting and compliance.Opportunity to work with broker-dealers, investment advisers, and private funds, enhancing industry knowledge.Leverage your accounting expertise to prepare financial statements, regulatory filings, and monthly FOCUS reports.Gain exposure to US GAAP standards and advanced financial analysis techniques.Contribute to annual audits and regulatory exams, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.Enhance your professional credentials with support for obtaining FINRA Series 27 FinOp licensing.Accounting Supervisor Key Responsibilities & DutiesSupervise the full-cycle general ledger financial close process and related activities for clients.Manage monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Analyze general ledger activity and prepare balance sheet analyses for various accounts.Prepare monthly financial statements and quarterly FOCUS reports for broker-dealers.Calculate monthly net capital, including non-allowable assets, haircut charges, and aggregate indebtedness.Assist in preparing regulatory filings and annual financial statements for clients.Support clients during annual audits and regulatory exams, ensuring compliance with standards.Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for financial operations and reporting tasks.Accounting Supervisor Job RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; 7 years preferred.FINRA Series 27 FinOp license preferred; willingness to obtain within one year required.Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; solid understanding of US GAAP standards.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting.Excellent communication and organizational skills for client interactions.Ability to work remotely with occasional travel to client sites.Self-starter with reliable follow-through and commitment to excellence.
