Senior Claims Representative

Manage a portfolio of commercial general liability and commercial auto claims throughout the United States. Investigate claims to evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and claim exposure. Obtain and analyze policies, reports, statements, medical records, expert opinions, and other documentation necessary to evaluate and resolve claims. Develop and execute effective claim resolution, settlement, and reserving strategies within assigned authority. Analyze and negotiate settlements to achieve appropriate claim outcomes. Communicate coverage positions and claim decisions to insureds, claimants, brokers, legal counsel, and business partners. Participate in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, settlement conferences, and trials as needed. Authorize payments within delegated authority and ensure timely and accurate claim handling. Maintain complete and accurate claim documentation, correspondence, reports, and settlement records. Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, risk engineering, and other internal partners to strengthen customer relationships and improve business results. Serve as a resource on casualty claims handling, coverage analysis, litigation management, and settlement strategies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Generally, 5+ years of commercial casualty claims handling experience. Experience handling commercial general liability and/or commercial auto claims. Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of policy interpretation, coverage analysis, reserving practices, and litigation management. Ability to travel as needed.
