Senior Accountant

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of our accounting records. You will partner cross-functionally with teams across the organization to support operational excellence while helping to build scalable accounting processes that support Electric Hydrogen's continued growth.You will be hybrid (1-2 days/week) based onsite at our Devens, MA facility and report to the Accounting Manager.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare month-end close journal entries, including monthly accruals, ERP integrations, Brex credit card activity, and lease accountingExecute month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingReconcile worldwide cash accounts and prepare cash reporting while partnering with Accounts Payable and other internal departmentsOwn the fixed asset accounting process, including reviewing capital expenditures, maintaining the ERP fixed asset register, collaborating with department leaders, and supporting physical inventory countsPrepare and maintain prepaid expense schedules, including prepaid insurance and other qualifying prepaid assetsAssist with vendor deposit accounting by reviewing project purchase orders and partnering with project owners and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate accounting treatmentPrepare intercompany reconciliations and process cross-charge submissionsReview and approve purchase requisitions within Coupa from an accounting perspectiveSupport monthly variance analysis and actual versus budget reportingAssist with annual external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentationAssist with worldwide tax reportingIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controlsParticipate in system implementations and cross-functional special projectsPrepare KPIs, management reports, and ad hoc financial analysesSupport additional journal entries and accounting projects as business needs evolveQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldMinimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processesExperience with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accountingStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while working independently in a fast-paced environmentExceptional attention to detail while maintaining awareness of broader business objectivesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and other advanced functionsWillingness to contribute beyond defined responsibilities to support the needs of a growing businessExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plusExperience using Coupa procurement and requisition systems is a plusExperience supporting external audits is a plusExperience with Brex Credit card platform is a plusExperience working in a high-growth manufacturing, technology, or clean energy environment is a plusExperience with ERP implementations or system integrations is a plus#LI-HybridCompensation and Benefits l S4MA Zone$95,000—$110,000 USDActual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
