Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department RN

• Provide emergency care for both adult and pediatric populations
• Manage dysrhythmias and perform interpretation as required
• Administer blood products and manage central lines
• Handle patients with multisystem organ failure, Neuro-Trauma, and other critical conditions
• Initiate and manage continuous IV sedation and vasopressors
• Identify and report signs of abuse or neglect
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs efficiently

Requirements of the Emergency Department RN

• Current NY RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience in a Level III Trauma Center
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting system experience
• Must reside over 50 miles from the facility
