Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours. The role involves providing critical patient care in a fast-paced ER environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their stay.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer emergency care procedures, including port placements and chest tube management.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and operate medical equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP, EKGs, and arterial lines.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Meditech EMR.
  
  
• 
  Follow unit policies, protocols, and safety guidelines to ensure compliance and optimal patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to code emergencies and de-escalate tense situations with patients and families.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Must have at least 1 year of recent ER nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess current valid RN licensure.
  
  
• 
  Hold required certifications, including CPI and de-escalation training; time management skills preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work effectively under pressure.
  
  
• 
  Show strong attention to detail, patient-focused attitude, and excellent teamwork skills.
  
  
• 
  Willingness to float to other units as needed within the hospital.
