Surgical Technologist Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist for a contract assignment at a prominent pediatric facility in Dayton, Ohio. This role involves working within a dynamic operating room environment, providing essential support to surgical teams focused on delivering high‑quality care to young patients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting surgeons during various procedures. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, ensuring all equipment and instruments are readily available and in proper working order. Assist the surgical team during procedures by anticipating the surgeon's needs and efficiently passing instruments and supplies. Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments throughout surgical cases. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer as required. Handle specimens according to established protocols and ensure proper labeling. Ensure proper care, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
