About the Role As our Program Manager, you’ll be the friendly force that keeps our programs running smoothly and our volunteers, educators, and partners feeling supported. What You’ll Do Keep program quality high by communicating clearly, visiting classrooms, sharing updates, and using evaluation tools Grow and strengthen our volunteer and partner community Lead creative recruitment and retention strategies that bring in great volunteers and keep them coming back Manage the behind‑the‑scenes magic that makes our programs run (scheduling, logistics, delivery models, you name it) Host in‑person or virtual trainings that leave volunteers feeling confident and excited Keep our database organized and up‑to‑date Gather stories, data, and insights to help in meetings, grants, and reports Deliver top‑tier customer service to everyone who interacts with our programs What You Bring Accountability You own your goals and deliver on them You stay calm under pressure and shift into problem‑solving mode when things get tricky You work well solo and with a team Active Engagement You show up with energy, enthusiasm, and a “let’s make this great” attitude You’re the kind of teammate people enjoy collaborating with Growth & Improvement You’re curious, eager to learn, and always looking to level up You welcome stretch projects because they help you grow Teamwork (The JA Way) You pitch in to help the team meet deadlines You communicate openly and stay approachable You’re flexible, supportive, and able to navigate different personalities with ease Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, project management, volunteer coordination, sales, or development Strong Microsoft Office skills Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment Organized, detail‑oriented, and motivated Comfortable working with diverse groups Excellent communication skills Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities Preferred Experience in nonprofit program management Familiarity with the K–12 education world Why You’ll Love This Role You’ll get to build relationships, support volunteers, empower educators, and help create meaningful learning experiences for students.
