Account Manager - Flow Control Valves & Regulators

Responsibilities Maintain and grow professional business relationships with selected account customers who influence technology, product, and service selection. Identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management capabilities to drive sales results for all final control products. Prospect, qualify, develop, and close potential new customer accounts and sales opportunities. Maintain a high degree of product and application knowledge. Maintain a high degree of refining, petrochemical, and power industry knowledge and awareness, including trends, technology advancements, and competitive landscape. Provide comprehensive customer support with a focus on retention. Establish relationships and build rapport to influence customer preference and specifications, including Puffer‑Sweiven. Collaborate with the Sales Team Leader on product and service expansion opportunities and work within account teams to develop and implement the Account Plan. Work with multiple departments and support staff to deliver customer solutions quickly and efficiently. Maintain and update Salesforce opportunities, monthly sales reports, and other required correspondence in a timely and effective manner. Qualifications BS/BA degree required; engineering or associated technical degree preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years proven sales experience in the downstream or power industry. Solid network of current industry contacts is preferred. Competencies Excellent demonstrated ability to interface with and influence technical decision makers.
