Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, collecting detailed histories and documenting the case from initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment. \n
- Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health status, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to inform diagnosis. \n
- Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings that align with the client's unique goals and needs. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that foster healing and personal growth, utilizing techniques that encourage client engagement and self-exploration. \n
- Monitor client progress throughout the duration of treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. \n
- Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care. \n
- Communicate with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require inpatient care, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of treatment. \n
- Identify behaviors that may obstruct client recovery and strategize interventions to mitigate these challenges. \n
- Assist family members and primary caregivers by providing support and resources for managing mental health issues that impact their loved ones. \n
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including those facing anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma-related challenges. You will support individuals and families, fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere that recognizes the myriad of experiences that inform each client's journey towards mental health recovery. Your role will not only involve clinical tasks but also building solid therapeutic alliances that empower clients to effectively manage their mental health.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon. \n
- A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n
- Proficient with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms. \n
- Strong understanding of the interaction between mental health, physical health, and addiction disorders. \n
- Familiarity with best practices as provided by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities. \n
- A compassionate disposition and a high level of empathy towards clients. \n

- Prior experience in a counseling role with a focus on mental health. \n
- Demonstrated success in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. \n
- Experience addressing client needs that involve complex physical and emotional health conditions. \n
