Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! About The Unit This unit is a level 2 trauma center with 20 operating rooms. Two ORs are dedicated CVOR in our Area D tower and six procedure rooms in our Area A suite. Approximately 45% of our cases are total joint and orthopedic procedures, while the remaining 55% include General, Colon/Rectal, Urology, Bariatric, Plastic, Spine, Vascular, and ENT surgeries. Scope of Work The Surgical Technologist II will maintain and prepare the surgical suite, handle instruments intraoperatively, maintain the sterile field, evaluate changing conditions during procedures, and respond appropriately. The role requires staying current on surgical procedures and protocols and may involve precepting when needed. Qualifications High school diploma required Associate degree or equivalent required Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.). Not all schools require an associate degree or one year of equivalent experience.
