Job Title: Supplier Quality Inspector

Employment Type: Contract 

Compensation: $35-$45/HR  

Schedule: Monday-Friday with flexibility to work weekends when needed

What you'll do:

• Perform in-process, pre-cap/internal visual, final, and external visual inspections 
• Inspect electronic and mechanical components, including semiconductors, integrated circuits, hybrid microcircuits, mechanical parts, and printed wiring boards 
• Ensure compliance with standards such as MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-883, ASME Y14.5 (GD&T), MIL-P-55110, MIL-P-50884, and J-STD-002 
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and tolerances 
• Verify product conformity, workmanship, dimensions, and functionality 
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate certification and compliance records 
• Participate in product qualification and recertification testing 
• Stay current with customer, military, and industry standards 
• Identify nonconforming products and escalate quality issues 
• Support customer audits and special qualification requirements

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Prior experience performing quality inspections in aerospace
• Strong knowledge of military and commercial inspection standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
• Experience inspecting electronic components and mechanical assemblies
• Familiarity with industry standards:
  • MIL-STD-750
  • MIL-STD-883
  • ASME Y14.5 (GD&T)
  • MIL-P-55110
  • MIL-P-50884
  • J-STD-002
  • IPC standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • Internal visual inspections
  • External visual inspections
  • Final acceptance inspections
• Experience with IPC-specific inspections, solderability testing, and printed circuit board (PCB) inspections

Physical / Work Requirements:

• Ability to use microscopes, calipers, measuring tools, and inspection equipment. 
• Ability to sit, stand, and perform detailed visual inspections for extended periods. 
• Strong manual dexterity and close attention to detail.
