ABOUT THE JOB

As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing large datasets, uncovering insights, and driving data-driven decision-making within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. You will have the opportunity to unleash your data wizardry and embark on a thrilling data expedition with us. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, transforming raw data into strategic gems that guide our company's success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Analyze raw data: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing
• Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
• Collaborate with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
• Generate actionable insights for business improvements, manipulating data and drawing insights from large datasets
• Create and use advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics, such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.'
• Visualize and present data to stakeholders

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field, such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, or statistical modeling
• Demonstrated expertise gained through relevant internships, coursework, and personal projects that highlight your skills and a strong dedication to the field of data science
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with an emphasis on their use for scalable data analysis

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS

• Competency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, along with experience working with databases to retrieve and store data
• Strong data analysis skills, including data cleaning, exploration and visualization
• A foundation in machine learning with experience in building and deploying machine learning models
• The ability to approach complex data problems, devise solutions, and successfully implement them within project deadlines and objectives
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
• Fluency in programming languages (Python, C,C++, Java, SQL)
• Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools (Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
• Awareness of ethical considerations in data science, including privacy, bias, and fairness in algorithms

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Data Science or closely related field
• Recognized certifications in the field of Data Science

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• You must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or higher)

COMPENSATION

• $55,000-$125,000 per year based on skills, experience
