Registered Nurse, Infusion (RN)

For more information, visit As a full‑time Infusion Registered Nurse, you’ll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Sunnyvale, CA. The scheduled hours are Monday–Friday, 8a–5p. What You’ll Do Provide infusion nursing care to client employees, contractors, and visitors to the health center. What You’ll Bring Use training and experience as an infusion nurse to administer medications by IV infusion in the outpatient setting. Initiate and maintain intravenous lines and tubing, administer medication and fluid therapy. Ensure that patients receiving IV therapy receive appropriate care, from choosing an appropriate infusion device to managing the device and monitoring the patient’s response. Use nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow. Conduct a nursing assessment, including taking a patient history, physical assessment, vital signs, and other medical tests; provide treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law. Collaborate with a Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange further medical treatment when needed. Identify equipment that needs repair and bring it to the attention of the lead clinician. Conduct appropriate laboratory tests and quality control procedures. Document accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions, and follow‑up care arranged. Identify health education and promotion needs of patients and provide necessary training and instruction. Identify emergency situations and provide care within legal scope of practice. Administer medications and medical treatments competently as directed by a Physician or Licensed Independent Practitioner. Maintain medical records using Electronic Medical Record software. Maintain a clean and safe environment and follow infection control procedures. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Participate in follow‑up phone calls and patient visits. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate’s degree (A.S.) is required. Bachelor’s degree (BSN) from a four‑year college or university is preferred. Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice (CA) required. Current hands‑on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services. Certification in Infusion Nursing preferred (CRNI). Consideration given to candidates with experience and eligible to receive certification within 12 months of hire. Experience At least three years’ experience as an infusion nurse. Knowledge And Skills Knowledge of internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
